Are you planning to set up your very own online store? Have you thought of which products you would be selling? That second question is actually the top question that online entrepreneurs contemplate on as they start to seek their fortunes on the Internet.

Why information? Information is the easiest product to create, quickest to bring to market, much easier to distribute and usually most profitable. A lot of information products can earn around 75 to 95 percent of profit at the first sale, after the costs are deducted. The residual sales for established clients could even offer 100 percent profit.

Some examples of information products would be e-books or digital books, digital reports, software, websites, online newsletter and a lot more. A product that is informative in nature is an informational product.

Here are some other reasons why they would be great to sell online.

1. Information products are Fast and easy to create and market. You would not require an intense design or an expensive manufacturing process.

2. There is no inventory to store in your stockroom, as your product is entirely digital and would only require some space in your computer.

3. The startup costs are a lot lower. If you would choose to sell information, you literally create a product from nothing. You would just need the time and smarts to put words or other data on digital paper.

4. Your sales and delivery process could be automated. You could sell your products any time, any day. You can be sleeping or you can be doing something and still make money from your products. You can just set up your website to be automated to give clients your sales pitch, take orders, process payments, deliver products through email and follow-p after a couple of days.

5. You would be able to offer instant access and delivery through an automated website or by providing download links to your customer.

6. There is no need for shipping and handling, as most can just be delivered through email. All it takes to deliver an information product would be a click of a mouse.
